Tech giant using 'unthinkable tricks' to take over machines, force controversial 'upgrade.

Inside a logo box in the ad is a scheduled date for a mandatory upgrade. The user must look in the tiny type just below that line and find where it says “here” and click on that to avoid the upgrade.

    Just another reason to switch to MAC or better yet LINUX UBUNTU.

    A few months ago our IT guys where I work recommended I install a 'patch' called GWX control panel on my work computer and my PC at home that had Windows 8.1. It has eliminated all the pop up to upgrade and eliminated any of the take over hassle.... so far. After reading this, I guess I own him a big thanks. Next laptop.. will be a MAC.

    Yeah, it hijacked my wife's computer. I was the first on it in the morning and backed it out.

    Frankly, I find this annoying and creepy. What in the hell is wrong with these people?...Haha...

    I use a Mac, but I also have cheap Windows laptop for the few programs which require Windows.
