On The Denial of Human Sexuality from The Manifesto Thumpers

I thought that a few questions which have been knocking around in my head this morning might make good discussion fodder.

The Left accuses the Right of being homophobic, but is this just the typical projection in which they engage: could it be that they are really heterophobic?
Consider the condescension with which The Left greets a woman who decides to express her sexuality by: having children (“breeder”), or housekeeping (“slave to gender roles”), or simply by trying to make herself attractive to men (“a woman needs a man like a bicycle needs a fish”).
Consider the condescension with which The Left greets a man who decides to express his sexuality by: pursuing a woman's interest (“sexual harassment”, “potential rapist”), or competitiveness (“predator”), or sports (“stupid jock”), or protecting his family (“patriarchy”).

The Left likes to argue that a rejection of homosexuality is a rejection of the human condition.
And while I agree, I would also like to point out that The Left's rejection of heterosexuality is not only *also* a rejection of the human condition, but as a matter of species propagation a rejection of a much more important and necessarily statistically more common aspect of the human condition.
So, which is worse?

Consider also that the Left abhors “reparative therapy”, yet daily through its media The Left bombards society with the sexual roles and mores which it prefers in hopes that such bombardment will sway opinion.
To be clear, I am not making a case for “reparative therapy”.
My point is that if The Left truly believes that sexuality can not conditioned, then it can stop its tiresome agitation.

Which, of course, it won't.
Manifesto thumpers gonna thump.

Did you happen to see that HGTV decided to cut a new show because the brothers had been known to protest against homosexuality? I personally think that's a waste of time...so why not ignore it? I do not see it as immoral to employ someone with views different from mine. Why does HGTV? Succumbing to this fascist -like pressure seems immoral to me. I think this could backfire big time for those who are making this into a cause. It makes me want to push back negatively about issues I may already agree with. It's the worst kind of bullying. As with most bullies, there's a sniveling whiner underneath

Still, it's best not to use that kind of terminology so lightly. Godwin's Law, and whatnot.

You wanna read something really crazy? Here's a blog post from a radical feminist (RADFEM) who claims that all male-on-female sexual intercourse is automatically rape, even if the woman wants sex and willingly consents to it:

radical wind – PIV is always rape, ok?

I consider myself a big supporter of equal rights for women, but some people can definitely take it too far, and it's crazy people like this who make me want to avoid calling myself a "feminist."

Correction, the quote I cribbed from Dunn/Steinem is "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle."

The misquote stems from my own personal twist on that quote: "A man needs a bitter, angry feminist like a bicycle needs a fish."

I would suggest refraining from applying the label "fascist" to the activities and behaviors of non-government entities. It dilutes the meaning of the word.

No, I did not see that, although it wouldn't surprise me.

    I actively avoid HGTV.
When it isn't boring the living crap out of me it's irritating the living crap out of me with some demanding ruling class princess who believes that she can get her "dream house" by stamping her foot a little harder.
