Money Monster
This movie deals with the BBB. No, not the Better Business Bureau, but the Big Bad Businessman. Nuclear threats from North Korea and Iran, the Middle East on fire, Russia challenging the USA on world stages, America on the verge of bankruptcy, terrorism at home and abroad, but what do we really have to fear? Businessmen cheating their stockholders. The story is a thriller with sharp performances by George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Jack O'Connell does his best with a kind of Brooklyn accent that falters back to his UK roots now and then. Here's a very basic bare bones of the plot:
Clooney, a clownish TV money man is halted on air by a delivery man with a gun and a bomb jacket for Clooney to wear. He has lost everything on advice for the purchase of a stock by Clooney. The interaction between Clooney and Roberts steals the show from O'Connell even though they are only together for a few minutes. Toward the end the story as well as the action starts to fall apart slowing down to a ridiculous ending. Once again, who is the villain? "We have met the enemy and they is us." -- Walt Kelly

What's wrong with Wal-Mart or is this a topic for an entirely new posting?
All that is wrong with this country is on display in that place, and the original Sam Walden would not approve.
ogling her in The Blind Side.
Saw the blond she was blond portraying with her husband on some talk TV something I can't recall.
She's a looker too.
A looker is a looker.
In, fact, Looker is one of my favorite science fiction movies made in the 80s.
Love the last ten minutes with that "demo show" getting totally weird for messed up.
I was once, as a representative of a small retailer's association, met with the head of a well known large company. That night his people and my people decided on a meeting for dinner.. A casual, well known Chinese place was chosen allowing us to dress informally. It was a bit chilly so I wore my favorite windbreaker. The CEO admired it and asked me where I got it and how much it cost. I said for him to guess. He went for Nordstroms @ $150. With a Mona Lisa smile I told him, the truth. Wal-Mart @ $20. He couldn't believe it. I told him how else do you think people could afford his $200+ products.
Oh, please, don't give me any PC junk Men like looking at attractive women. "Same as it ever was."
Good one!
It is a beautifully filmed and produced, directed by a famous actress, well promoted, piece of crap.
I know he came back as part of an inspirational dream for Sandra Bullock's character, but in essence Clooney's character was still in orbit.
Tee-hee.
Since the movie is called Gravity, I suppose the movie's make believe asphyxiated body in a spacesuit eventually came down to earth.
It would be nice if the actual George Clooney eventually came down to earth, too, but I am not holding my breath.
Used to be on Netflix and Amazon Fire
