My Review of 'Atlas Shrugged Part 2'

Yes it is a movie with a powerful social message. But in my determination, it is far deeper, and more meaningful. AS2 is nothing less than a treasure hunt for the essence of the lost society of Atlantis rediscovered in America. It has an old fashioned resonance that is so different from what many are used to these days. For me, the scope of the film came into focus when I saw for the first time the advanced plane sitting on the runway. The technology parts of this film worked wonderfully!

"Its much, much bigger than that." -- SO BIG -- because that's the Nature Of Existence, and Of Philosophy .
(They comprise or encompass -- EVERYTHING)

Thanks! It's easy to feel passion for the material, but there are so many aspects to the emotion a film like that gives me. I spent a good part of Friday night and Saturday morning sorting it out in my head. I hope that the people who read it find feel similar things. Ayn Rand specificially called Galt's Gulch "Atlantis" and the more I thought about it, the more it seemed she was telling a story about some alien species living amoung humans, but of an improved version of the human race trying to pull everyone else along, only to be rejected, and leaving so they can live among their own kind. It's not so simple as capitalists and socialists, or even Republicans and Democrats. Its about the future and the past, and the future is not in Karl Marx little essay that so many collectivists have read. Its much, much bigger than that.
