Pfizer wants to cut its tax bill by merging with a British company and moving to Britain. The quote from Senator Wyden says it all:

"The FT quotes Oregon Senator Ron Wyden as saying 'I don't approach retroactivity in legislation lightly, but corporations must understand that they won't profit from abandoning the US...'

"Ummm, actually that's the whole point, Senator. The tax situation is so onerous that people do profit when they leave the US. That's WHY people leave the US. Duh."

    Looks like a cover for the yet to be introduced bill favoring Pfizer with monopoly status, and Pfizer promising to stay in the US in return. The US will not stop the merger, and Pfizer will be able to move offshore in a couple of years despite any non-contractual promise to stay.

    Con-gress is in bed with elite companies and nothing in the mainstream media is exactly what it appears to be.
    Yes, taxes are too high and that will not change until the empire and the dollar collapse.
