I think this is an interesting post. However, I think you could get us started in a broader conversation. For instance, I often hear from "law and orderers" that if you are innocent, you have nothing to worry about. Why can't the govt plant devices all over public locations in the city? Especially outside courthouses where a defendent may be having a client lawyer privilege conversation that any passerby can hear? so what? it's a public place. Do we have the right to expect reasonable privacy in a phone conversation at a bus stop? When is government over reach-over reached? It's just a DUI checkpoint-what's wrong with that? and while they are at it and see a wad of cash in your wallet as you hand them your drivers license-why wouldn't that be suspicious? You must be running drugs after all. That's ok. the policeman thought it looked suspicious. I'm just the FBI and I think ANY conversation outside a federal building or courthouse MIGHT be suspicious. Might as well grab everyone's conversation to keep the public SAFE.

Still, Constitutionally...they need a warrant, do they not? Could be "hear say" or a BS session...what ever.
Just the idea of it makes one wonder if they should say anything. With the kind of useless creatures employed these days...even saying: "have a good day" would be suspicious to them.
