Biden and Warren: The Democratic Ticket in 2016? by Robert Gore

Does that clear the way for Bernie Sanders? Not if the movers and shakers have their way. He is about as popular with them as Donald Trump is with his party’s establishment. Joseph Biden made a couple of interesting comments recently. He said he thought he would have been the best presidential candidate had he chosen to run, and he also said he and Elizabeth Warren discussed her as his running mate. Trial balloons? What if Clinton, upon announcing her withdrawal, released her delegates to vote for Joseph Biden and Elizabeth Warren, who had agreed, for the good of the party and the nation, to accept a last-minute draft?

    Biden is sufficiently connected to Obama and his policies that a prospective Biden presidency would be seen by the general public as a third Obama term. He's also a political insider at a time when being an insider is toxic. I think Biden would do better than Hillary, but would still lose.

    True enough, but calling someone a racist might be the worst possible name calling for a Demoncrat.

    Biden has more baggage than most people remember.
    1) the plagiarism of Nile Kinnick;
    2) many, many gaffes too numerous to count;

    http://content.time.com/time/specials...

    3) a few truly racist comments

    such as Obama being the first "clean" African-American candidate, or
    “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent."

    4) his consistently erroneous foreign policy;
    5) his role in Supreme Court judicial obstructions, particularly Robert Bork, whom Biden said once that he would support.

    A clown would have a better chance than Biden to be elected president. But then again ... doesn't Trump look a little like a clown with all that spray-on suntan?
