Biden and Warren: The Democratic Ticket in 2016? by Robert Gore

Does that clear the way for Bernie Sanders? Not if the movers and shakers have their way. He is about as popular with them as Donald Trump is with his party’s establishment. Joseph Biden made a couple of interesting comments recently. He said he thought he would have been the best presidential candidate had he chosen to run, and he also said he and Elizabeth Warren discussed her as his running mate. Trial balloons? What if Clinton, upon announcing her withdrawal, released her delegates to vote for Joseph Biden and Elizabeth Warren, who had agreed, for the good of the party and the nation, to accept a last-minute draft?

my transition from a flying career was to learn to trade the market...it is not easy, but very challenging...i now trade derivatives by shorting the market out at 2-3 standard deviations in credit spreads...so far, so good...and it always come back to volatility and probability...reading a new book every week...last great one was: Against the Gods: The Remarkable Story of Risk by Bernstein...and, of course, The Creature from Jekyll Island...

Biden's biggest problem, if he becomes a Presidential candidate, is his utter hypocrisy. For someone who plays the "empathy game" well, he gives next to nothing to charitable causes, even the ones he publicly supports (document in his tax returns). He's made more sexist, racist comments than any politician out there. He's tied to Obama policies that both Sanders and Hitlery are lambasting, but undoubtedly would join in maligning them if he became the party nominee.

Biden and Warren: Tweedledum and Tweedledumber. The Biden baggage, unlike Clinton's doesn't make him a traitor. But that's pretty much all that can be said to his benefit. Warren is as clueless as any delusional person can be. Her understanding of economics may even be less than Biden's.

This doesn't seem probable. The "movers and shakers" that matter right now are the delegates. About 45% of the delegates to the Democratic Convention are ardent Sanders supporters and are pledged to him on the first ballot. I can't see them voting for Biden if Hillary disappears. Some Hilliary delegates would do so, but I doubt more than half of them would go to Biden, a man who did not win a single primary vote. A good number of Hillary delegates would move to Sanders. He wins on the first ballot.

At least the GOP pols would have you believe that as capitalists they would pay for the services. (Hypothetically, of course. They would never inhale.)

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. - H. L. Mencken
    And the accompanying...
No one in this world, so far as I know - and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me - has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people.

Say Hillary gets a white washing of her offences instead of a pardon from Obama and agrees to step aside for Biden/Warren who then beat Trump by a nose for the presidency.
Meanwhile using her political connections Hillary runs for the Senate in 2018 and wins (in NY, state of idiots.). She calls in favors and is chosen by the Democrat majority as President pro tempore of the Senate.
In an act of patriotism, a secret service agent (of middle eastern descent, chosen for his political correctness) reveals himself as a right-wing terrorist and kills both Biden and Warren along with most of the high ranking GOP members of con-gress at a secret meeting at Camp David. With the president, vp, and speaker of the house dead, Hillary steps in as Empress.

You expect that of any Democratic man, unless and until the Democrats kick over the traces and run an open homosexual for office.

Biden is dull, dull, dull compared to Hillary. Two words to describe how people would take him: Ho and Hum. Donald Trump has "Pizzazz." He'd make short work of Biden.

Well, I can understand why the Democratic establishment would never accept Bernie Sanders. No connections. Connections are everything in Party apparatuses. With this difference: the Republican establishment, with their rules, didn't protect themselves as well. So Donald Trump beat them.

Having said that: Joe Biden seems to me the most colorless candidate the Democrats have run since Adlai E. Stevenson.

Gaffs ain't all Old Joe has been about. There's been some groping.
I find it very easy to imagine Good Old Joe being photographed and recorded on video as he sticks his nose into Woo-woo-woo-Warren's ear and calls her "Veepie."
Oops! Now old dino imagines it being arranged to have Good Old Joe shot so Woo-woo-woo-Warren can become the first so-called Native American president.

Perhaps I am more aware of Biden's buffoonery because I went to The University of Delaware while he was getting re-elected to the Senate. He ranks in the top five of the most condescending people I ever met, ... but I never met Hillary or President Zero.

But no one cares about his gaffes. The Liberal press makes sure of that. They just laugh and call him Old Joe, and everyone falls in line. And Obama, too, was never called to account for his gaffes...like saying that there are fifty-seven states. Democrats are always excused.

You can't analyze politics from the view of an informed citizen. They are the minority. Biden has name recognition and has avoided all the potential damage of a primary run. He debates well because he is unincumbered by the truth. A Biden Warren ticket would do well but if Trump makes the right VP pick he should still win in November.
