From the article: "You’ve been working very hard to pay off this debt and we admire your fortitude. But these shocks seem like a long time ago to us in a newsroom." That is because those of you in the newsroom acted like what Ben Rhodes of the Obama administration described you as. "The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.”
I didnt realize the former respected profession of journalism had fallen that far and sunk that low. The line from the Clancy book "Why should I trust you you are a reporter" really hit home again. Add to that the education system.
I could recite the list but in short, why are we flushing money down the toilet trying to educate completely unqualified students who could not, I'm sure, pass the First Grade, test of that 8th grade example recently posted. Worse why are we treating their educators as honorable and decent professionals worthy of taking charge of our children? They are very clearly no better than Clancy's example of a 'a reporter.'
The press corps has sunk that low. Ben Rhodes fed them info on the Iran deal and just this week had the audacity to brag about it. Notice the silence of the press corps in response. They were so embarrassed that they didn't even deny Rhodes' claim.

This is the second article this week that reminded me of Rearden's tumblers clicking into place.

I do miss Tom Clancy.
