I can still hit the high notes. Steve Perry was one of my role models for singing. I modeled after the rather eclectic combo of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, Steve Perry, and Freddie Mercury. My old band isn't getting together again soon. We called ourselves The Garage Band for good reason. I was a solid singer - akin to about a 2 handicap in golf; just don't ask me to dance. One guy in the band though, could pick up any instrument, and within a week, be the best at that instrument in the whole school. He probably is still playing professionally.

We don't always understand the reasons for what happens. But we have the choice to let it make us stronger or to weaken us, but we will be changed. Our prayers are with you, whether you think they do any good or not.

Rumor is that Journey's Steve Perry used to hide a walnut cracker in his pants and give a squeeze to hit those high notes ;-) Just an idea should you look to get the band back together?

I saw them at what was then (1985--where has the time gone?) the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. Big disappointment. Instead of the kind of songs that made them popular, they played almost nothing but hard rock. I left in the middle.

That was a blast from the past. I saw Airsupply in concert at the Circle Star Amphitheater in San Carlos, CA. They put on a pretty good show if I remember correctly.

I'm All Outta Love by Air Supply. When my band did that song, I felt like I needed an air supply to hit some of the high notes.
