Just don't bring their SoCal attitude. Bring an honest work ethic and a willingness to listen to other points of view.

That's the problem with these displacements - they bring their moocher/looter attitudes. They want to escape the high taxes that those attitudes created, but don't realize that they are going to pollute the new area that they move to with those ideas. It's just a lag effect, so they don't see that it is themselves that are the problem, not the location. They'll never learn, and Texas will be the worse off for it.

I see it in New Mexico, where I am. Not that the state has ever been solidly Republican, like Texas, but it used to be split. A big contingent of wealthy Californians have bought into Santa Fe, and have brought their liberal delusions with them. Santa Fe is now as fruity as Berkeley or San Francisco. Now New Mexico as a whole is solidly Democratic (it's not just the Californians, but also the immigrants from down south).
