Rush: Trump Will Beat Hillary, Perhaps With A Landslide
I've listened to Rush Limbaugh on my car radio since the 90s.
When it comes to Rush talking politics, I've learned not to ignore even what he calls a gut feeling.
When it comes to Rush talking politics, I've learned not to ignore even what he calls a gut feeling.
I say we are seeing beginnings of the dissolution of the two party system in the USA. We dont need the parties now that we have social media and the internet, and it should be one person=one vote with no phony
"delegates" to help maintain party power at OUR expense.
Some, almost universally less educated, republicans voted for Trump. The broader population is not going to go for this behavior when they are thinking of the person with their finger on the trigger.
Regarding your other statements, I agree we need more parties and better choices. Not sure about the one person one vote. I am more of a state power guy, and the republicans haven't won a popular vote in a very long time. Socialism would be on us in an instant.
Regarding "professional". It means of relating to or connected with a profession, synonym white collar. My intent was specifically to exclude making off color comments about women's cycles. The adjective is not too hard to understand, but the prior behavior is pretty hard to defend in any executive in the course of work, much less the chief executive. This kind of nonsense puts him in the company of indicted heads of state all over, and makes him completely vulnerable to the Hilde-Harpy.
Trump is not a woman hater at all. Check out Ivanka, his daughter. He just said with Hillary that "womanhood" is not a qualification for the presidency any more than manhood would be. She twisted and turned it, but I think people are not so stupid as to accept his actual statement as being against women.
As to having a trigger finger, that is ridiculous. He would never have gotten ahead in business if that was his way of acting. I was much more worried about Obama on that score. Hillary would just let the other countries just walk over us and she would never fire back.
If we had an ironclad constitution, which we dont, and it was adhered to, this whole presidency thing would be a boring selection of an administrator.
My point in all this was noting what needs to happen to get him elected over Hillary with the masses, not what my opinions are about voting for him.
My own opinion about him is that his present fortune and four bankruptcies demonstrate that he has less success in business than most businesspeople. If he had taken his trust fund and invested it in an S&P fund, he'd have even more money now. His biggest successes have been paying off politicians to get what he wants. Hardly the sharp-eyed strategist.
However, he is better than Hillary, and can win if he changes his childish tactics.
The woman hater charge was leveled by the Hildebeast crowd.
I am so tired of the people who constantly dump on trump when they should be dumping on the wicked witch of the west Hillary. I do hope we dont get Hillary. I think I would indeed shrug at that point.
Being too long THE BOSS can get you in trouble when you're too used to blustering from the top of your head at people who can only nod while taking your paycheck.
I've worked for people who have let power go to their heads. You're just another guy outside the company door.
Now it is down an unpredictable, shoot-first guy, and an unconstitutional, lying socialist with a clear history of government mistakes.
I hope Donwaldo calms down, listens to some good advisors and starts wooing the Bernie crowd as an agent of change with comments for "more affordable" college (not free. there is a numerator and denominator here). Make the college themselves into the villians with presidents and professors salaries and lack of interest in undergraduate education. He can turn the entitlement issue on its head with words like "opportunity" replacing "free" and some simple Milton Friedman statistics.
It's not shocking, but still a bit surprising, to see people buy into this chameleon-like morphing.
So her legacy will be first woman president running for re-election to beat an indictment. Lynch possibly will face obstruction of justice charges but worst case becomes a Judge and has to recuse herself. The nation will face that reality every day and for every decision. Besides the inability to solve but only worsen a bad economic situation. Mired in mud and ineffective.,

Followed by a hearty Woow-woo-woo kemosabee!
At least Trump spent his own money and isnt beholden to anyone (one of the reasons the establishment hates him so much).
You can always say that a popular leader is in the right place at the right time- or he wouldnt be popular !! Cruz just didnt have the popularity required at this time, so he dropped out. And blew $100 million +- doing so.
I am voting for Trump to break up the entrenched establishment and tell us when the emperor has no clothes. For 4 years- then lets see how he does. CANT be worse than Hillary or Sanders.
Trump is also like 70, richer than he ever needs to be, and I almost think he is doing this to help the country. That might be wishful thinking, but I am very impressed with his kids after watching them on the CNN town hall a few weeks ago. I say the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. They are great kids, particularly his daughter Ivanka.
Don't get me wrong, I hope you're right, and I hope he is doing it for the country. But you can have all the money in the world, and still mean to do harm to this country and Capitalism. See: George Soros, Bill Gates and a whole line of rich bastards who support the Far Left...Trump is not necessarily in the same category, but there is also no evidence that he's not. Early in the campaign someone called him a RINO, I said, and still say, he's worse: he a ?INO...
Trump is peddling the same contradiction.

As far as I am concerned I would never vote for Sandoval for anything. He put in two terrible taxes out here under the guise of "education for our children". That was a sham.
the most recent disturbing statement from Trump was his willingness to raise minimum wage...that shows a complete lack of understanding of economics...
HillaryBeast is 8 more years of Obama-style dismantling of free market system...
We'll have to see what the leadership and their backers decide they want and the objective may be something entirely different than what you read in the news.
Here's my second question, however: How is Trump also not a Democrat in principle? Other than his newfound support for the Second Amendment and his wall, nearly every other policy is identical to that of Hillary. Nominating Trump isn't going to move away from the "Democrat Lite"...
“Completely repeal Obamacare.”
“Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines.”
“Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system.”
“Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).”
“Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals. Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.”
“Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products.”
“The reforms outlined above will lower healthcare costs for all Americans. They are simply a place to start.”
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/position...
How about taxes?
“If you are single and earn less than $25,000, or married and jointly earn less than $50,000, you will not owe any income tax.“
“This new tax code eliminates the marriage penalty and the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) while providing the lowest tax rate since before World War II.”
“No business of any size, from a Fortune 500 to a mom and pop shop to a freelancer living job to job, will pay more than 15% of their business income in taxes.”
“No family will have to pay the death tax. You earned and saved that money for your family, not the government. You paid taxes on it when you earned it.”
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/position...
Does any of this sound like Hillary?
Completely repeal Obamacare, yet he supports government-run healthcare.
“Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines.” See above. I'm in favor of it, just skeptical that it will ever be proposed by Trump. Same as with the rest of this. These are great policy lines, but what he is actually saying in speeches causes me to believe that he didn't write any of it.
Same with Taxes. I support the policies outlined, I just don't see him advocating any of these points from the stump or in interviews. What I do see him advocating is:
- more debt - to get our economy on track.
- defaulting on/refusing to pay our debt (a position not even Hillary will touch)
- that education is a fundamental role of government
- that the rich should pay more in taxes
These are all positions he has advocated for openly in interviews, while I haven't heard anything of the policy positions from his website. Nope, nein, nada, nil. If he isn't talking about them on those shows, why should I believe HE really advocates for them?
I find I keep staring at him, though.
So about half register. a large chunk of them do not vote many for much the same reasons or they confine themselces to purely local issues.
but of those that do the last figures I could find showed 23% GOP 28 % Democrat and 46% non -affiliated (independents. Libertarians and a few others take up the rest of it.
Since only the GOP and the Demos are allowed on most ballots a bit more than half of those registered or one quarter of the available voting pool bother to vote. and a smidgen for the Libertarians.
I'll call that one 28% to be kind with the two allowed candidates dividing up 25%
To win it takes a plurality or the majority of those voting but not a majority which wiould mean no one would win already.
So 14% plus one of the available voter pool is all that is necessary to win.
Let's suppose the split is as much as 15 to 13 with the rest going to winnere take all. or or maybe 18 to 13 percent.
That's a landslide? No. A mandate? No. it's a crappy little minority electing a President.
It's a show of no confidence
It's a clear win for None of the Above.
even at 25 to three which isn't going to happen it's at best a joke.
But it's all that is need EXCEPT it's only the popular vote which has no legal standing anyway.
At the most by a long stretch the electoral college could produce a n EC mandate if something like Hillary being handcuffed and indicted occurred or Trump going overboard and pulling a Steve Martin at his acceptance speech wearing nothing but boxers.
Sorry Rush the only landslide is a vote against rigged elections and taxation without representation.
How many cities had demoncrapic voting in excess of their population...
The Walking Dead TV show should not be about coping about zombies but all about Dem voting techniques.
Whoa, wait a minute.
Maybe those two concepts should be spliced together somehow..
Demoncraps, Zombies, Parasitical Humanoids...all the same thing.

I think Rush recently said Mitt blew his own election in its last month unless I heard that from Hannity or Levine.
Who I listen to depends on what time I'm driving somewhere.
Then there's other sources that come my way at home.
There was no First Amendment back in those days.
He deserves as much serious attention as Alec Baldwin.
(I admit I'd rather listen to Rush and mute Baldwin instantly.)
Also, term limits, financial scrutiny throughout their terms, and the addition of several more political parties.
Maybe they would have been more polite and welcoming if i had arf-ed on the floor and shown a SAG card.
The craven weasels who run the mainstream GOP do deserve to have their fiefdoms wrecked.
If turnips were swords I’d have one by my side.
If ‘ifs’ and ‘ands’ were pots and pans
There would be no need for tinker’s hands!
Old Scots nursery rhyme.
Not voting for either of these two is not the same as not voting they are spitting on the system.,
This is a crack appearing in the current statist system, and should be exploited. Although we cant expect instant conversion to objectivist principles (witness even Cruz bombing in his campaign to return to constitutional principles), we can help exploit the failures of current socialism and statism. Trump and to a certain extent Sanders are doing that. Sanders wants MORE socialism as the answer, while Trump wants less. The tide is coming in for some real change and we should ride it rather than fight it.
You must look past the numbers to see what's going on.
Recall how Trump won the nomination (presumably). He won it primarily in the states that permitted cross-voting: Open Primaries. In closed contests, Ted Cruz fared much better.
We have heard accounts, numerous accounts, of democrats crossing over to vote for Trump. The news media, and Rush as well, love to attribute this to enthusiasm for Trump. But is that really what's going on?
Will those same democrats show up to support him in the general election? FOX, Brietbart, Rush, et. al., love to think the ol' Reagan Blue-dog Democrat swing is in play this year... leading to an upset of drastic proportions for the Republican party this year. I dare say, this has been a ploy all along. No... Trump is not a Democrat mole. Trump's history and past far outspeak Donald's current futile attempts at conservative rhetoric. Still, I do not believe he is a mole. I think he is, however, a tool for the Democrats.. for the Clintons in particular.. to win the White House for the Democrats this November.
Recall that Donald and Bill had a conversation prior to Trumps entry in to the nomination race. No, Bill did not tell Donald to run, per-se, but Bill and Hillary know what they are doing. They (Bill & Hillary) knew how to a.) push Donald's buttons in to running, and b.) get him the nomination. Bill and Hillary knew from early 2015 that Hillary already had the Democratic Primary nomination locked up. Bernie is/was/has been just for show. Therefore, the Clintons knew they had plenty of political capital to throw Trump's way in Trump's push to get the Republican nomination. That engine went in to full gear in the open primaries. Droves of democrat voter drones flooded over to vote for Trump... and no one else. Only Trump. You never saw/heard stories of former Democrats crossing over to prop up Cruz. No, they supposedly glommed on Trump's "Make America Great Again" speech, or promise to Build A Wall, etc. Didn't really matter---when they came over, it was only to Trump.
Rush touted Trump as a populist. He took endless calls of supposed "conservatives" and "former democrats" alike claiming of boundless admiration for Trump. Trump could do no wrong. Meanwhile, it was Cruz that had far out-done Trump in the ground game. Trump had rallies. But, Cruz had a ground campaign going in every state. Is it any wonder why Cruz totally out-played Trump in the delegate selection process up to the day of Cruz's departure? Whether Trump's team was incompetent or Cruz was 'unfairly' sticking in his supporters, the real truth of the day is, in most of those Open Primary states, Trump won from the graces of the Clintons sending over their minions to vote for him. In the party box one day, voting for Trump, out the next and back to the Democrats.
The Washington Post and others reported that Donald called the Clintons just prior to running. (Source: http://wapo.st/1ObdUL4) Is it any stretch to conclude Donald called in a favor easily converted by the Clintons - to help Donald win the Open Primaries and secure the Republican nomination? And, yes, it was an easy transaction to conclude for the millions Donald's donated to the Clinton Foundation over time.
Sure - you will find a few devout Trump supporters here and there touting their devotion to conservative principles, like term2 and others here. But, they have been duped by the media (Rush included) that Trump's bringing Democrat deserters to the Republican party en masse.
The Rush to throw accolades on the Trumpster are far from reality. The Clintons have set him .. and the Republican party up. All they need to do now is cash in this November. Buh-bye country.
In addition, every crossover primary vote for Trump is one less potential primary vote for Hillary. Did she deliberately lose Wisconsin to Sanders so that Trump could achieve a blowout victory there?
Hillary does not need votes... ever. She had the nomination sewn up before they even started thinking of running in early 2015. All the Super Delegates were hers.. all she needed was a few more. Cripes, she walked away with MORE delegates than Bernie did in his 'landslide' victory in New Hampshire!
RE: “Hillary does not need votes... ever.” Sure she does. She needs votes in the primaries to demonstrate her popular support and ability to win in November. Sanders’ recent victories, especially Indiana, have called her electability into question. And her reliance on superdelegates will undercut the legitimacy of her nomination in the eyes of many in her party.
Sanders is but a place-holder for the Dems. He's there to continue to push and gently harass Mrs. Clinton so it seems like she had a hard fought victory come the Democratic convention. Sanders never had a chance no matter what his supporters may think.
Therefore, the Clintons turn their attention to the field of ~15 in mid-2015.. they look and find the most beatable of the Republican field and spend time/effort propping up that candidate.
Hillary cares not what Trump might say, she's just going to shrug it off like anything anyone has ever said or accused the Clintons of doing. If Ken Starr cannot seal the deal and get Slick Willy impeached, then there is nothing the Clintons cannot do to face persecution. This email scandal is a slam dunk for ANY mediocre D.A. Yet, its taken YEARS... YEARS to come to a conclusion. Its been nearly 5 YEARS since Benghazi happened and hardly a finger has been pointed in her general direction. Sure, Trey Gowdy has given her a grilling here and there, but what of it? She's still running for the presidency.
Take off the blinders. Go outside. Get some fresh air. When the Trump-kool-aid wears off, we'll chat more.
I’m sure the Clintons would love to have all the influence and control that you ascribe to them, but a realistic assessment shows Hillary to be an out-of-office, widely mistrusted politician facing numerous ethical and legal issues, including one that has the potential to instantly derail her path to the White House anytime between now and election day. Hillary isn’t a cinch to lose, but she’s looking more vulnerable by the day.
That was back about when I saw a cartoon of the Teflon tit-willow and Bolshevik Bernie standing side by side both dressed like boxers.
Killery was all beat up and Bernie did not have a mark on him.
The referee representing the Dimwitcrat Party pointed at the punched out hag and cried, "We have a winner!"
Hillary was driving them in from out-of-town, and they were not checking IDs, as I heard from other democrat friends that night that voted for the Bern.
And, yes, miraculously, somehow, later that night, she had the infamous 6-coin-toss win over Bernie. Although Hillary still came out with 30 delegates to Bernie's 21, with an essentially split vote total... which, is questionable on so many accounts.
Neither has ever produced any thing but body waste and bad results.
I would never vote for hildebeast because she is plain evil, Cruz because he is power hungry and sneaky, or sanders because he is a wack job. I hope trump wins this time because he just speaks his mind and isn't beholden to contributors. Also because his kids are amazing and the apple doesn't fall from the tree. I am ready to shrug and be done with all this. The USA is going to crash
If kids make a president... wow.. I'm glad you're limited to one vote.
I can tell you are a 100% trump hater, and you probably won't get to see this town hall, but it was a good demonstration of pretty good parenting.
This whole election process has made me realized how flawed the process is in the USA. If John galt himself were running for president, he would receive unbelievable criticism before he ever got a lick of praise. The only ones that are accepted today are true statists and evil witches like the Hillary YOU are going to wind up with in a few minths
Another shady side of Trump. He began his campaign in mid-2015. One of his first campaign stops was hosting a party for veterans aboard the USS Iowa. Tickets went from $100 ~ $1000; not one dime has made it to veterans. Ditto for his veterans event in Des Moines where he claimed to have raised $6million for veterans... still less $3million has been accounted for.
Trump runs his 'charities' in the same precise manner as the Clintons run their Foundation.
Care for more?
Trump's character has more flaws than Bill Clinton giving a sermon as a marriage counselor. And, you want this guy to assume the highest office in the land, .. because he was a good father?
Hillary lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie cheat cheat cheat lie lie some more with plenty of evil actions like Benghazi in between the lying and cheating.
Trump a privileged inheritor an egotistical, ignorant deceiver a fascist lying leftist looter with delusions of grandeur.
We lose no matter what the result of this media manipulated election.
I'm not saying the Dems are better. I would not exonerate Hillary for one moment.
The whole point of this thread is that "Trump wins in a landslide" according to Rush.
My counter is that that is not so. My counter is not to support Hillary or Sanders. My counter to Rush's statement is that it is a false notion given Trump's own baggage. And none of you Trumpsters care to LOOK at what he's done; who he is; who he claims to be. The discord between Trump's actions and Trump's words is wider than the Gulf of Mexico. Yet, you pretend it does not matter... Trump will part the Gulf of Mexico for everyone. *Great... *
You say "And none of you Trumpsters care to LOOK at what he's done.Yet, you pretend it does not matter... " your previous comment "Yes, and it was that night that neither my brother nor I could recognize even 1 of our Democrat neighbors heading in to their caucus rooms that night... that's when it all made sense to me.
Hillary was driving them in from out-of-town, and they were not checking IDs, as I heard from other democrat friends that night that voted for the Bern."
Manipulated election...... Not Checking ID's
I say "Trump a privileged inheritor an egotistical, ignorant deceiver a fascist lying leftist looter with delusions of grandeur."
If that makes me a Trumpster what do you call someone who likes him?
Ted Cruz would have shook it up even more-so, yet, without all the excess baggage carried around by Trump.
He left me blowing in the wind.
That's no "crack" in the "current statist system"...it is the current political philosophy giving birth to the logical extension of populist ideas. Trump is more dangerous than Sanders by force of his personality. I want no part of his "tide" of cronyism or whimsical wielding of the law.
You are of course entitled to your analysis of the various people. We will be stuck with either Hillary or Trump as president. Its hard to believe you would rather Hillary. How bad do you really think a Trump could be??
A disastrous Trump presidency will poison the "businessman" concept and push the country over the socialism cliff. Capitalism will be written off (shallowly and incorrectly) as a total failure because of the poster child for cronyism that markets himself as a business hero...so yeah, it will probably be worse.
That's the best argument you can make FOR Trump to be president?!?!?
You've never looked at what Trump was doing right up to him beginning his nomination, have you?
Trump was Hillary's donor. Trump was propping Hillary up as "one of the best secretaries of state" we've ever had until he decided to start running. Ever pause to think WHY Trump might ever flip-flop so casually on his own statements?
I really wonder how many Trump-dolls do you have in your bed at night..
If Sir Jeb of the Royal House of Bush was now standing there instead of Trump, I would already know I would be voting Gary Johnson, even writing it in if Alabama did not provide a circle to mark.
I signed a petition to allow a Libertarian candidate to be voted for sheer minutes after after I voted for Cruz in the primary..
It may take until November before I decide to vote for Trump or not. There are things I like about him and things I don't.
