This could be a blessing. 1,000 people with loaded guns marching is a disaster waiting to happen. All it needs is one gun control nut to fire one round. The gun grabbers would win the argument. The time would be better spent teaching some friends how to shoot.

interesting. but most gun owners I know are are less about reaction and more about assessing the situation

Same here. However 1,000 people showing up at a rally are impossible to screen. The event is being organized by a drug addict. What could go wrong?

they said they were prepared for the raid. Most people I know, who expect to get raided, don't find themselves caught with drugs on hand. what evidence do you have that he's an addict?

He appears to be an addict because he expected the raid and still had drugs on hand.

Did he really? Or are they just saying that in an attempt to try and justify the raid??

This is exactly the kind of thing I was trying to describe in my comments on another thread (DOJ).

Reasonable people who are so inundated by the constant corruption out of our government, that the first (and, honestly, most reasonable) comment is one of suspicion against the government.

I have been suspicious of the government for a LONG time, but found I was in such a minority most of the time that I just kept my mouth shut. Now what I am finding is that as suspicious of an old curmudgeon as I am, I almost seem to sound like "the voice of reason" in these conversations.

Having said that, I agree with LetsShrug -- I start off denying the truth of the government's statements until they are doubly proven true by third parties with no vested interest in the discussion.
