    If it were truly about his life why is there no mention that he was a US citizen? Why would there be ANY mention of skin color at all? The bracero program was a temp worker comprised of mexican citizens would worked along the border picking crops - were those people, who were legally employed, not brown skinned? Why mention skin color? Or for that matter paint a farmer who is trying to make a living and employing dozens of people as bad?

    Seems to me like the assignment is just a summary of Cesar Chavez's life. How is that a racist agenda?

    Racist agenda driven hogwash. Chavez was an American citizen who detested illegal immigration and was pro-union. Sadly the best source I could find is from Ottawa and it points out how little we know of one of our own cultural heroes.

    When the price is driven high enough because of strikes or minimum wage laws, machinery/ robots will replace the workers, or the grapes will be imported.
