A secretive data collection program run by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau allows private contractors access to millions of Americans’ personal financial information, according to a government accountability group.

    Unfortunately, our government does not think it needs justification for any of their programs.

    I read the story twice, but must have missed the justification for doing this?

    What does the government need this information for?

    If it was for a good reason, my guess is that we would have been told this....

    they're not collecting this in the name of fighting terrorism. This is no way done in the name of safety. This is identity theft.
