And you still want to vote for those people?

The comment does not exclude Trump nor the RINOs.

But I accept that you are entitled to your thoughts on the subject- totally. If we actually HAD a republic, and not a cronyist system, we would all be evaluating the president as an administrator, not a potential giver of goodies to one favored group to be paid for by other groups.

But the Cruz people made it sound bad- like she would reflect badly on the country so one shouldnt vote for Trump. I think both of them are guilty of being nasty. Its a very nasty system and Cruz is on Trump's ass constantly, and frankly I cant fault Trump for fighting back. Cruz keeps fighting this ANTI-TRUMP crusade, which I think is off point- I want to know what each of the candidates can do in practice. I dont want to see Anti-Cruz OR Anti-Trump comments. They are both fighting like children actually. And the wives have nothing to do with it at all, in my humble opinion.

He said he didn't approve of them and I can accept that (very minor incident - a significant difference in magnitude, I can make a long list of the major false accusation pitched by DT and still promoted by Trump supporters even though they are disproved.). As far as disavowing them, she posed with a photographer for the pics. What is to disavow.

Incidentally, she had absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and neither did he.

Of course Cruz has done the same kind of thing. I cant believe he didnt approve of the pictures of Trumps wife (who isnt running for president). He never disavowed that either. Politics is nasty in the USA

I understand where you're coming from even if I can't agree. I prefer to take my chance with Cruz (97% conservative review rating and I've been watching him for consistency for several years).

Another example of Trumps tendency to use Alinsky tactics

Trump recently implied on TV that Cruz's father has something to do with the Kennedy Assassination

This is just another example in a long string of baseless accusations there were never intended to reveal truth but only to discredit. Shameful.

Politics in the USA is a disgusting thing really. I dont know why ANYONE would want to run for president, given what you have to go through both to get elected and once in office. I am sure John Galt himself would NOT run for president under the current situation.

That said, we are alive, and need to deal with the situation at hand. Its going to be bought and paid for Hillary, or Trump. Neither of them are dyed in the wool objectivists by any means.

As Ayn Rand said at some point, if presented with a system becoming more evil all the time, we should try to slow down the progress at least.

To actually get elected in this country, one must essentially get a majority of the voters (not exactly because of the electoral college and the existence of two powerful political parties with crooked rules). After watching "the race to the white house" on cnn, I am convinced that the elections here are popularity contests run by the campaign managers. This isnt the way to have a country operate, but its what we have at least for the current election.

Trump has attached himself and motivated the people who are tired of the establishment basically ripping them off. This is a good start. It shows that there is a lot of upset out there. This is fertile ground. If we want to get rid of government health care (for example), to get peoples attention, it has to be shown first that it doesnt work. Trump is good at that, which is why there are so many establishment people who do hate him. He will blow apart their little fiefdoms.

Then we get to the solution part of the problem. Theres Sanders (wacko) on the left with solutions that definitely wont work. Theres Hillary with ways to keep the establishment in control. Then we need someone grounded in free market principles. I am not convinced that Trump is THAT person, and for that reason I would not be so interested in a Trump presidency after 4 years, unless he showed he could do that job.

I saw the CNN town hall with Trumps family. I was totally impressed with Ivanka and his other offspring. I say the apple doesnt fall far from the tree, and it made me more willing to give Donald a chance.

The net result is that I think Trump will do better than Hillary and certainly Obama. I would hate to see Hillary get in there, and we dont have options to keep her out without letting Trump in. He will do good in foreign relations, much better in fiscal restraint, and certainly much better in helping get rid of the hold of political correctness.

I dont think Cruz has what it takes to lead- since my estimate is that he would get few followers. I am not so sure about his commitment to freedom as opposed to his commitment to his religion, and I doubt he could actually be nominated let alone elected.

So those are my thoughts on this election. I am not saying Trump is some sort of John Galt or even close to that, but without him this time, we will be stuck with something really bad, namely Hillary (or possibly Sanders)

Hello term2 (long time), I've spent my time away from the Gulch on the tea party community forum talking with many so-called "conservatives" who favor Trump. When I left here there was a much wider field to choose from and my position was pretty much neutral, no one was out of consideration. Thanks to the TPC and the Trumpeteers (as I call them) my position is no longer neutral.

My experience with Trump supporters from the tea party community is that they are as bad as liberals in their ability and as gleeful in their desire to manufacture and propagate lies and propaganda. TPC Trumpetteers are, like Trump, CINO's at best, without even understanding basic Conservative principles, and they are belligerent thugs when challenged with reason and their lies are exposed using fact. I left TPC , and have distanced myself from any affiliation with the Tea Party, because of the lack of conviction to conservatism AND the moderators allowing said propaganda (known and proven to be false by me) to be posted and to remain on the site even after being reported (zero credibility).

Because of my own observations of Trump having grown up in NY AND because of those who support Trump and their tactics (like calling people haters because they disagree), I will only vote for Trump if I cannot think of a name to write in. I have ZERO respect for Alinsky tactics whether they are used by the left of by those on the right. Trumpeteers, not all, do not hesitate to play from the Alinsky handbook.

Thomas Sowell (call him an irrational hater?)

I am not an irrational Trump hater.

I don't think of you at all. But if it quacks like a duck it's probably a duck. If it quacks like a secular progressive it probably isn't a duck but a leftist. Plonk.

The Latinos would call it Dia Del Muertos or Day of The Dead. They however are honoring their antecedents not trying to frighten children.

One only has to remember Bubba cute Bott to remember and realize the kind of women she's pimping for hubby. Remember that airhead from late last year who claimed to represent some some group that wanted zero tuition costs or something like that. Todays version of NOW?

The kind that take their nourishment from a bicycle pump with left ear, right ear fittings?

No wonder Bubba is confined to college campus appearances these days.

The left really has it hard in the quest for anything with the word quality attached.

It's not just a problem for the left's right wing. We might call the pool of possibilities Shrill Shill and The Hucksters.

Hillary set race against race as she toured the country back as First Lady. To this day she continues to use the Saul Alinsky method of setting race against race to create chaos as a move toward socialism, and ye, gun control. Nothing random about her, she is as she has always been. Read her 922-page theis making a hero of Alinsky.
