Ranger Missing in Belize-Help Needed With Search
Served 5 Tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, went on vacation with another army buddy, laughing, telling his mom-I won't call you, I'm coming home! Their kayak overturned in rough water, his friend made it to safety but there is no sign of Shane Leesman. The Belize Coast Guard is involved in the search. The family has set up a crowd funding site to aid in the search for her son, missing since April 29th.
I do not know this family personally, but know of friends. So tragic to do 5 tours and have an accident on vacation. His training and strong swimming skills gives his mother hope he's alive.
"He'll probably come home laughing at me, because the last thing he said to me is 'Mom, don't try to write me. Don't try to call me, you know I'm coming home.'"
