It also says a lot about a president who would choose Trey Gowdy as the new AG. It says the president wants a man or woman in the job who respects the law above all else.

I heard that thrown around as well as calls for him to run for President, but the man owns three dogs: Judge, Jury and Baliff. I think it speaks volumes of how much passion he has for the law. The Speaker’s job is for a peacock. If any benefit, Gowdy is an example of what normal folks are looking for in future political candidates. Start looking.

That one investigative reporter was Andrew Breitbart. He died. Those who work for his organization are tarred and feathered by the MSM. Cheryl Atkisson, formerly of CBS, tried to call them out on Benghazi. She was shut up.

Great points. I keep thinking where is the Geraldo Rivera? Just one investigative reporter trying to make a name for themselves could blow this wide open. It does make the mainstream press more irrelevant everyday.

Hoping or wishing that the press will wake up and do their job won't make it happen. Pigs or donkeys will fly before the press turns on Obama. They have had more than ample time and cause. The real quesiton is why anyone pays any attention to the press anymore. They make Goebbels or Tass or Pravda seem like credible news sources.

    That's good. Very good.

That initial report that this attack (on 9/11) was just a response to some low budget video on youtube never, ever made any sense to me. It was like saying Santa Clause carried out the attack, or Bigfoot.

Yep, though I often disagreed with him, Lieberman was the last Democrat I respected. His last name would be great for a Gulch member - lover of man.

If we stayed out of other people business and had that big stick and they knew they would get whacked with it that would deter some aggression toward us. Screw with us and we'll turn you to glass.

They are. They're protesting for gay rights, they're protesting to get their student loans rates lowered, they're protesting to get pot legalized, they're protesting to legalize border jumpers, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseum.

Not sure that I agree with his foreign policy (and that's the problem that I have with most Libertarians). While I would certainly like to be living in a world where all nations would behave rationally and treat fellow nations with respect, that's not the world that we live in. I won't agree to allow another 9/11 just because we should be "non-aggressive." I will accept the consequences of doing unto others before they do unto us. So, don't seek to do unto us and we'll be just fine. Carry a big stick - walk softly, but damn sure carry that big stick.

Ron Johnson yes. Rand Paul probably but the jury is still out for me on him. I'm not very familiar with the others. Gary Johnson sure says some correct stuff.

    Good morning richrobinson,
Absolutely fantastic! That was the best investment of three minutes I have witnessed in a long time.
    Respectfully,
    O.A.

Ron Johnson, Rand Paul, Jim Sensennbrenner, Reid Ribble, Sean Duffy (those are the ones of whom I'm most familiar).

I can't think of the last politician that was respectable. Some have possible glimmers of thought. Gowdy is one to watch. He might actually be something other than just partisan.

OK. Thanks. Just wanted to be clear. I can't think of the last Dem that was respectable (probably Lieberman, but even he had to leave that party).

You really think they would have reacted differently for Pres Kerry, Gore, Biden, or Dean just to name a few?

I’m very impressed with Trey Gowdy. I hope that if we have a Republican president in 2016, that Gowdy will be considered for AJ.
