Wow! I've never seen that before. Houston we have a problem... I have seen several local manufacturers going after the wind mill business; not because they believe in it but because it is subsidized... Looters…

That is my wife's favorite Queen song. I am still working on the guitar part occasionally at her request... Funny... she is not a fat bottom girl at all... skinny even... just a good tune I guess...

Wesley Mouch would be so proud. I guess ol' Jimmy Taggart will have to put solar panels on his trains now. Or maybe a windmill?

Even stranger that the coal states went to Obama last November...even though they knew that he had a 'hit' contract out on their livelihood.

One of the reasons that makes me believe that we didn't have a fair election....

Fools believe in fool's gold... I thought it was quite interesting that Mr. Manchin only sees the light when his career is in the balance. He did make a great point last night on TV. He stated that he had several coal burning plants state that the technology to clean most of the pollution through scrubbers and other clean coal technology existed , but the new reg's were so strict that some companies wouldn't invest in the available technology because it wouldn't meet the new gov't mandates. So we get nothing, but higher utility bills. And we watch the same coal be burned somewhere else like China, which will burn it in dirtier more polluting ways... Brilliant...

No kidding... This will adversely impact the poorest among us the most. Strange how the progressives are always looking out for the little guy... NOT!

You wrote exactly what my first thoughts were, above. It really feels as though we are living out the book in real time, with all the overreaching governmental regulations, designed to make the entire populace dependent on the gov for its every need.

    I for one, am disgusted!

The fools in Washington think that they are actually in control. The simple fact is that the more they try to control things the worse they get at it. If they want to have a war on coal they should get the hell out of the way and let the people who do know what they are doing figure out how to provide clean energy at an affordable price. Its not like it cannot be done. Humanity has change energy sources several times, none of them involved government mandates. If the DOE and the Nuke Reg agency had their heads out of their ... umm sand.. We would likely already be living in a world where coal mining was made superfluous by dirt cheap LFTR or something even more exotic. But, lets face it they dont want to control "climate change" they want to control people..
