    Not really. The oceans compose about 70% of earth's surface. It's taken Calif a long while to figure this one out. Especially since the coastline is about 600 miles.
    Desalination should have been a baseline activity status for decades.
    The Feds extract billions for us to keep Amtrak
    running. Money better spent on that vital stuff, water..
    Be nice if the Texans got with it, too.\

      My point is that the environmentalists will find something that needs protecting and will prevent the desalination plant from re-opening.
