This is just plain scary, and so full of unconstitutional search and seizure issues it rattles...

    It is purely unconstitutional. They all know it. We all know it. But, to date, that has never stopped the looters from looting.It's pretty obvious that obeying the Constitution is not high on governmental lists. There are those in Washington and elsewhere who want to re-write the Constitution. Based on current attitudes, I am sure that it would make Obamacare look good by comparison.

    Asset forfeiture is just plain theft. Always has been. Carry your wealth with you and they can simply take it. Put it in a bank, and they can simply take it. Makes a good case for your emergency funds to be in the "bank of the PVC pipe in the back yard...".

    For awhile now, the government has been MY biggest enemy, and the one who steals more from me than any hacker or common thief ever has. I bet this is the case with most people now in the USA.

    Exactly. We are fast approaching feudalism where the fed is king. Think you own your stuff? Look at he inheritance tax and Joe Biden;'s justification for taking half - "you didn't earn it." Ask Bundy about grazing his cattle on federal land. Opps, it belongs to "the government" not citizens. The income tax is nothing more than extortion. And crony capitalism prevails.

    This is perfectly consistent with the belief that the government owns everything and what we keep is a cost to government. They talk about this all the time and each year in April, it is even more obvious. When I hear deductions allowed by the IRS referred to as costs, I go ape.

    What yiou just now heard about this? What did you think getting rid of cvil rights on December 31st was going to just sit there and do nothing? Where's the profit in getting rid of 'probable cause' and replacing it with 'suspicion of'' if not in asset forfeiture a legal term meaning confiscation without due process. Duuuhhhh. And it's not just cops. Another stupid blanket indictment let's get real It's the Federal, State, and LOCAL government you just elected. LOCAL...meaning your ha ha friends and neighbors.

    Still want to vote for the left you have three choices. Sanders, Clinton, and Trump. Go ahead...Make their day and their bank accounts. And don't forget the guy in this block running for city council in your six block town.

    Thank you, my feelings exactly. I am amazed that the Libertarian, free will type people have not screamed and shouted, this is as bad as any of the "racist", or other Democrap push button hot issues, and they get riots in the streets with theirs.

    I am stunned to read some of these stories.

    It would seem we have not a conscious, intelligent, human judge or lawyer in the country...if I were judge, I throw the case out and jail the cops and their bosses.

    Probably a good thing I'm not pres. cause I'd be the toughest you know what...just can't put up with non-human, non conscious behavior...after 3000 years, there is no excuse.
