Biggest blankouts of the Obama administration

No one with even a double digit IQ could believe the idiocy about the Youtube video as being to blame for inciting the Benghazi fiasco, but then there was yesterday's Jay Carney White House briefing call Benghazi a "Fox story". The blood is crossing over my blood-brain barrier and just making me want to explode!

I feel your pain. I watched the briefing myself. I posted a story yesterday because I was just so frustrated. I watched the WH briefing where Carney kept trying to vaguely refer to ‘all the protests throughout the Middle East’ as the broader picture and a real concern.

But, there had only been a couple isolated protests, one in Cairo and one in Yemen. The Egyptian officials had claimed, in Cairo, it occurred because of paid protesters. That riot hadn’t been just about a video like most people believe. The multitude of protest over the video that ignited the region and spread to Europe, Asia, and Australia came after the US ran the commercial apologizing for the video.
You could say the WH lit the fire for the video after they falsely pushed the video as a reason for tension in the region. More cowbell, please.

What is really sad is I feel so disconnected with my fellow americans right now. Obama and Clinton used the caskets arrival to push this nonsense. They stood over the dead bodies..talking about the video...not about the heroic men. Even if the video had played a role, (and pigs can fly) that was the tackiest thing I have ever seen a president do.

I don’t believe I have been so disappointed in my fellow citizens in my entire life. What about respect for these men who died a horrible death for their country. How can we live in a country where Obama and Clinton’s behavior is acceptable? I still don’t know that much about the life of Ambassador Stevens because nobody seemed to care enough to cover it.

Perhaps FOX can do a special on the anniversary this September, covering these men’s careers and lives. Then, call it a day.

Actually, the average teacher IQ is a mere 110, with journalists falling into the same category. Thus, those spreading the news and explaining it, are barely competent.
I believe, based on Michelle Obama's past history, that she very much meant what she said about not being proud of the US. She is a Marxist, went to the same Alinsky training as her husband, and as such, she hates capitalistic free America.
The whole "it was the video" ploy was a typical Hillary Clinton tactic. If you repeat a lie enough times it will become reality. She has always felt the general public was stupid. Right or not about that, this whole cover up was wrong.

Wasn't Hillary Rodahm very publicly excoriated and fired as a staff attorney for House Judiciary Committee for the Watergate Investigation by Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat.

      Why?

“Because she was a liar, “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

      A long history of deceit.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is a congenital liar.

      Cheers.

By Any Means Necessary - BAMN. That has become the fundamental strategy of the Clintons and has become the strategy of all D's since their ascension to national prominence.

Right you are. She removed documents, tried to make sure Nixon was not allowed legal representation, and that was in her early years. She has had lots of time to perfect covering lies. She tried to block access to her college thesis, a 92-page document which I have on my PC, which glorifies Saul Alinsky. She was actively questioning people across the country if they had unused spare bedrooms, toward the end of Bill's term, which she had implied would be a solution to the homeless problem. Don't think she intended to have her spare rooms so used. She supported the, then unnamed, UN Agenda 21 from the early days.

The average teacher's IQ is as high as 110. I would have guessed < 100. Professors are different, but when I was in engineering school, students who dropped out of engineering got A's the instant they switched into business. Those that flunked out of business went into education.

I take exception to that. Both of my parents were teachers (elementary and high school). They were respected by their students and shared a passion for curiosity and delighting in explaining things to children/teens. OF course, they did not major in education. You did ,however, have to get a teaching certificate which I find to be bogus. It's nonsense to expect an engineer to have to get some certificate to come in and teach HS algebra. It is reasonable to monitor classroom performance. We have all had great teachers. They may not have been in a classroom-but maybe they should have been. My beef is more with administrations' policies and unions. Most private institutions have to perform or their enrollment will decrease.

Certificates and such are just the government's way of controlling who is allowed to engage in certain professions.

I don't have any problem with a business-oriented certification like a CPA or PNP, an industry certification like the plethora of technical ones, or a professional certification, but governmental regulation of who can conduct business smacks of authoritarianism.

Ouch. My daughter is an education major (math). She's pretty smart. And my youngest is a business major - also pretty smart. But then, I'm an engineer, so maybe that's the reason(?) ;-)

The average for the profession is 110, which means half are below that. Those nearing retirement actually majored in a subject, not education, thus they likely are in the higher half.
I too heard here in Ohio that anyone about to flunk out of a state college, was advised to switch majors to education, and be assured of a degree. I once walked past an education class in college, where they whole class was laying on the floor making snow angels on the carpet, that was class that day. Those who took required English classes, usually fell into the C or below grade level. Yet they think they should analyze our children and know what is best for them. I knew one education major who was shacked up with a Saudi student, who led her on, then left town graduation day, without a word. She was clueless, did not see it coming. She really did not understand the culture at all.

As for me being former military and understanding what our resources were in the area, I called BS on the first inkling of their story. I have been against what the administration put out since the beginning. I feel sorry for the families of the Ambassador and the others, that the administration lied to them. I hate to think of what they would have said to my family if something had happened to me when I was in the Middle East. It just scares me that the administration has stooped to these levels of using things like this to cover their political butts.

I was watching the news coverage of Benghazi assault on Swiss TV on 12 September 2014. In their coverage, they showed video of a very bloody and unconscious or dead Ambassador Stephens being dragged through the street outside the " diplomatic facility" in Benghazi. It was clearly extensive blunt force trauma. How convenient that these images did not make it on to American television. Wouldn't want to upset the imagery our dear leader has portrayed.

Thank you for your service Jimslag!

If only the servile US media would care to do a little of actual reporting rather than covering up for Obama.

Here is what the chief of the Libyan parliament said the same day that Rice appeared on TV (Sept 16):

“The way these perpetrators acted and moved, and their choosing a specific date for this so-called demonstration, I think that this leaves us with no doubt that this was pre-planned, pre-determined,”

Meanwhile the muppet Carney was saying on Sept 18:

"[W]e do not have any indication at this point of premeditation or pre-planned attacks,"

And is one to believe that Sec. of State Hillary Clinton at the time would not bother to ask the Libyans the day after the attack: Hey what happened over there that our ambassador got killed?

My wife and I were there to attend the wedding of the son of very close Swiss friends from Grenchen, CH. We were all shocked at the brutalized condition of the ambassador's body. They were fairly graphic ( in Hoch Deutsch) in their description of his injuries which included speculation of sodomy using a rifle barrel.

I live in Colorado, SSE of Denver.
Jimslag, Don't let the BLM have one square inch of the Red River. I know that fight is on the TX side, but still.

Congrats on the transition to grid power systems. I was on on cv41 (flying Phantoms) cv63 (flying tomcats) for numerous deployments and on CVN68 for a reserve air wing work up in 1990 flying tomcats.

At this point no reasonable person would question that the government lied. The real question now is why they lied. My vote is for the indecision of the Obama when faced with a crisis. A paralysed government that was hoping to cover its incompetence leading to having an indefensible ambassador in an openly hostile region.

The problem is that 52% percent of the voting population's idea of reason is that it is OK if the government lied as long as they get their government cheese. This might be worthy of its own post.

They really don't care about anything so long as they get their gov't cheese. Lie, steal, violate their oath of office, none of it matters - just don't delay that cheese delivery.

Even them know, but you are right, freebies make many look the other way. In my native country it's called "vote buying". Works great for the gov. until you run out of other people's money or paper to print it.

Those that have little, who live off others, when the system collapses don't have far to fall, so for them it's really not a big deal.

For the wealthy, most will have ways of protecting themselves from the fall - gold, real estate, foreign currencies, etc.

For the vast portion of us in the middle, the fall will be devastating. Having a mortgage when there is no way to garner an income will take away the major store of "wealth" - I put that in quotes because when everyone is either getting foreclosed on or trying to get some equity out of their home it will drive the prices down significantly, eliminating the equity that folks think they have been building up (I keep trying to get my in-laws to extract their equity now via a reverse mortgage and they are just too stubborn to do so). When the gov't cannot borrow anymore, they will look around for the biggest source of wealth to steel, which will be IRA's and 401k's. They will nationalize these accounts under the premise that it "wasn't fair" for those who were able to put that money away tax free because it took away tax revenue that could have been used to "pay off the debt" (that's what they will claim, but it will not be true, if anything it would have been used for greater gov't largess, but it will be an effective argument to use to garner support from those without such savings). So, another source of wealth for those of us in the middle will be crushed.

Indecision? From what I can tell he was never fully engaged with this incident. He left the PR wonder-kid in the situation room. Isn’t that a little bizarre? FOX is reporting this morning that Obama may have been prepping for the upcoming debates during the siege. They are speculating on the information gleamed from the WH visitor logs, naming three aides who would have been prepping him.

No wonder they don’t want to talk about where he was. Can you imagine? There is probably a blooper-reel of the Prez and the aides practicing away. They better get a court order for those tapes like yesterday.

Seems he was too busy preparing for a debate. You know, winning the election was more important than the lives of Americans or an attack on a US facility.

I sat alone and watched the news really late last evening. This is not unusual for me except for one particular thing; it appeared all fuzzy, and sort of out of focus. Then I realized I was in tears thinking about what so many have given up defending this country and direction it seems to be heading today. I was ashamed of about half of my fellow countrymen. Political parties aside we need to recognize the lies and schemes that our leaders from both sides are conniving strictly for political benefit. I feel they are only committed to their politics anymore and could really give a rats butt about what this country could look like in the future. It truely scares me. I really think we need a total cleansing of our government, with the exception of a few that preach the truth about the Constitution rather than their politically adjusted interpretation.

I feel for you. I spent yesterday at the Wisconsin state Rep Party convention. Our state Treasurer position has basically had all power/authority moved to the legislature, executive or just eliminated. Of the two candidates, one promised to go after federal money and bring it to the state, and the other made the case for eliminating the office. The vote on endorsement went only 50.8% to the candidate to eliminate the office - not surpassing the 60% level needed to garner an endorsement. It was very disheartening to see just how many are swayed by what they might get instead of good government and smaller government. And these were R's - not very conservative, and certainly not very libertarian.

Robbie, that's a shame. Wisconsin must have changed since I left there in 1953. It used to be extremely conservative but back then we didn't know what that was. I'm glad to be out of California too now, but Washington State is a great place except for it's current western politics. About half of our voters think like current day Wisconsinites. We're going to tear down some real good schools now to make room to build new ones to handle the forecasted student increases, instead of just doing some cost effective add-ons. Our recent governors, mostly Gregoire, almost doubled our State employees.

I keep hearing that the investigations have been beaten to death... that all we can, or should do now, is insure that something like this never happens again. How can that happen if we don't find out who was responsible and remove them from office? Doesn't an example need to be made? Why isn't that made clear by the media interviewer when faced with the typical sycophant obstructionist, spewing nonsense like "what difference at this point does it make?".

How many of you remember when Mrs. Obama said just prior to her husband being elected in 2008 that this was the first time that she had been proud of her country? For me, that was the last time I was proud of my country. And just so I don't get accused of racism, I once voted for Alan Keyes in a primary, thought seriously about voting for Herman Cain in the primary because of his 9-9-9 tax plan before finding out that he had been part of the Federal Reserve, and chose an African American dissertation advisor (Levi Thompson at The University of Michigan) - someone whom I disagreed with on politics and philosophy, but a great man nonetheless.

I actually felt Mrs.Obama was unfairly slammed over her comment. She didn’t mean it the way she has been unfairly maligned. She was talking to young voters and let’s face it, the Obama’s did get the youth excited about elections and interested in taking part in democracy. Of course, the youth didn’t realize at the time he was a two-bit hustler from Illinois, but that’s an argument for another day.

But, I do certainly agree with you on Benghazi. :)

She wasn't unfairly slammed - it was insight into how these two in particular, and the "entitlement crowd" in general view the US. They only respect or are proud of something when they are the benefactors - and often as a result of affirmative action or other measures that are imposed to defeat meritorious achievement. And this isn't just a skin color thing either - does anyone think that she expressed (or even had) a similar sentiment when Clarence Thomas, Colon Powell, or Condi Rice were named to their prestigious positions? If anything, my guess would be that they sneered at those accomplishments as just "Uncle Tom's".

You're correct. She was unfairly maligned over that comment, but she did mean it that statement to be a slam against those politically disagreed with her and her husband. That comment revealed her true feelings.
