Interesting chart, one has to wonder about what constitutes "candidate committee money", but I have no doubt the Beasts money is from every country on earth who wants something. Bernie, for a communist, is actually an honest communist. Ted Cruz is the Republicrat answer the the Beast, with Kasich crawling behind. Trump does pretty darn good for what he has spent, or gotten or whatever. The Libertarians look like they should be on street corners with signs. One reason maybe to vote for Johnson....

My first comment is that our government must be into terrific cronyism if there is 1b$ invested in getting a job that pays 400k The whole thing is crooked and disgusting, with Hillary the poster child for cronyism.

I say contributors want something back for their investments- maybe political favors that the rest of us have to pay for ???

Exactly, Iowa just skews everything and takes months to get over...Need a large state or a group to vote the old fashioned way, and also eliminate all the gimmicks (electronic and mail voting) because it is just not secure.

This is why starting political campaigns in Iowa, where you are at a large disadvantage if you don't support corn ethanol subsidies, is inherently unfair to fiscal conservatives like Rand Paul.

Exactly, and that is why I vehemently disagreed with the SCOTUS decision to legitimize whoring by politicians with corporations.

I am not sure, but I will bet not. The system is rigged so only Republicrat and Democrataians can be on it. In Oregon, you do not even vote in the primary, if you are Independent. The Independent party graciously opened the primary for all the little stuff this year, I was so disgusted I tossed the required permits and paperwork in the trash.

As much as I like and have voted for Gary Johnson as well as other libertarians, both libertarians and Objectivists will never achieve a higher political office than Johnson did (governor of New Mexico) because raising money for political office requires that person to do something that contradicts his/her own values.

Another cool part is the variable chart that ties together the big donors, super pacs and et al. Zoom in and a lot of them start appearing to have had more than one favorite, and the collage of stars for the Beast is really disturbing
