Solar storm researchers prepare for the 'big one' with new urgency New Jersey Institute of Technology
Well, at least they're thinking about it...but it's time they get off they're butts and start developing protective systems and backup systems.
I do know that some have researched materials like aluminum, polyethylene plastics and carbon as shielding against electromagnetic events.
I also know that for home use, chicken wire, rabbit cage wire or even a metal file cabinet would provide protection for our computers, cell phones etc...but for those things to work, we need a warning system...which is what suspicious0bservers.org is working on.
Let's hope we and they get it together because with a weakened shield (now at 25% down) even weak solar radiation events can cause havoc.
