Incredible! I love AP courses and here's a guy who seems to be opening doors and instead gets clothes lined by admin. I was reading Albert J Nock's book on education today and it really makes me question how I do things in the classroom. There is an awful lot of wrong things going on in education nowadays.

"Whatever else the government does, protecting the homeland is number one. "

Am I reading this wrong? I would say as a student of history that subjecting the homeland to "it's" will is number one.
From your experience you see the beast puts a lot of cash in to it. Cool enough, thanks for bringing this up. Cheers

DARPA has already contacted the students who designed the 'guns' and hired the teacher as a consultant. <grin>

Yes! As a judge for the past three years at my regional science fair, I know for a fact that the US armed forces send their own independent judges to award their own prizes to those who present projects with direct (or indirect) military applications. Whatever else the government does, protecting the homeland is number one.

A few years ago I judged a jr high science fair that had a coil gun. It was shooting some ferrous thing (nails or something - I forget). Looking back I realize that I failed to be frightened by it. What's wrong with me?
