This is inexcusable. The rampant failures from his being in the US after his student visa expired 7 years ago, to being released from a VA jail without any digging into his background?! This is clearly a failure in the communication between agencies, and a lack of interest in following up on people walking around our country with expired visas. The grief being given to people who own guns legally is inexcusable, when this CLEARLY requires more attention.

He had to go back home after school before he could come back and get his citizenship. They get really offended when people preach leniency towards those that break the rules. Sounds pretty easy to do. Luckily no one got hurt this time.| Permalink
