Illegal immigrant with 7 year expired visa plots to bomb school, CT Federal building

This is inexcusable. The rampant failures from his being in the US after his student visa expired 7 years ago, to being released from a VA jail without any digging into his background?! This is clearly a failure in the communication between agencies, and a lack of interest in following up on people walking around our country with expired visas. The grief being given to people who own guns legally is inexcusable, when this CLEARLY requires more attention.

Oh they'd misspell his name somewhere and miss him brazenly coming through the airport. Remember, he's laughing at the incompetence. It won't be funny when his buddies join him.

They can relentlessly go after a rancher and his family in Nevada over grazing rights and tortoises, but someone who actually DOES POSE A THREAT, and is plotting to bomb buildings and kill people, is just wandering around the country on a 7 year expired visa... Down is up.

I am waiting for one, just one example of the government doing its job efficaciously. And they wonder why we fear the takeover of our health care...

C'mon, leave the poor immigrant alone. He's probably an NSA plant anyway, and this story is just to give him street cred.

Now that he broke the law shipping him home is his best option. So long as he can't get back here its the cheapest option for the US.

It's simple. In your friend's case, he followed the rules, however, he was not a lying sociopath. This idiot needs to be tossed out of this country on his ass!

A friend of mine met her husband while they were in college. He was here on a student visa. He had to go back home after school before he could come back and get his citizenship. They get really offended when people preach leniency towards those that break the rules. Sounds pretty easy to do. Luckily no one got hurt this time.
