Alternate names and acronyms for government agencies like IRS
In a different thread, I asked,
"Can somebody come up with an appropriate renaming for the IRS so that its acronym spells THUG? Perhaps Totalitarian Humongous Government?

- 2Posted by CircuitGuy 11 years, 10 months agoA foreigner once mentioned the US "alien police". I laughed and said it's the Immigration and Naturalization Service. She said she was just translating the name of the similar agency in her country. She said the agencies had similar roles, but in her country/language they admit aloud what the agency is about.| Permalink
