Have you seen the movie? If you read the history I linked, they shot enough footage to make a second film called 'GOODBY KIRA'. The website sells the DVD of 'We The Living', and it runs for 2 hours and 52 minutes. They don't say this, but my guess is that both movies are shown as one continuous story.
yes, I have seen it. I sent it to my kids, and when I was in the states, got to see it. beautiful. however the film makers were looters. The script writer for AS III helped get the rights to it. Yes, that's my daughter's name. :)
huh. overman I concur. then, The Virtue of Selfishness, and Intro to Objectivist Epistemology. I also very much enjoy the Early Ayn Rand. These are short stories, plays and essays. They can be completed quickly. Although her philosophy is not as well articulated, in these stories she captures the essence of the goodness of man. reading these stories, is kinda like detoxing all the collectivism that has sunk into your bones without you knowing it. :) good post!
Loved loved 'Anthem'! The Romantic Manifesto We The Living, which I just gave a copy of, to worthy friends. The Fountainhead is wonderful! I'm almost finished.
Also, look into "Philosophy, Who Needs It." The title essay is meant to be an intro to her thought, it was given as a midterm lecture to the senior class at West Point.
And don't overlook "The Money Making Personality" included in "Why Businessmen Need Philosophy."
Any book of fundamental logic from the last hundred years or so should be sufficient for you to discover Rand's many, many flaws. Although for most people, simply getting past adolescence has the same effect.
Read the history of the film, it is amazing!
