I just received the news I can upgrade from Verizon. I'm going to keep my not very smart phone. We have hurtled at warp speed into 1984. You still believe in a peaceful transition in '16?

    LOL!

But I did call her Annette once, before I was fully awake from my dream date with my Mickey Mouse Club fantasy chick....

I guess if we communicate by a short wave radio, B,B, infiltrates that too.

    Cool!

My bride and I took a honeymoon, and as far as I am concerned I am still on it. That was 40+ years ago....

I better be loved MORE than I was on my wedding day... 23 years! More for sure. Which has nothing to do with being called "bride". Which I wouldn't want to be called even the day after I was married.

Makes her feel younger...and maybe me too!

Every woman (my guess) would like to be loved as much as she was on her wedding day...this is my reminder to her that she is.

I'd be curious to know how many of us use our land lines to connect to the internet. I do.

That could be a factor in all of this, as well as my alarm system.

Land lines will conveniently become obsolete soon. They will site high cost of line maintenance etc for a dwindling amount of customers... And there will then be a tax added to your cell phone bill "landline conversion fee" ya know...to cover the extra expense of having to add more cell towers (or some horse shit) to cover the influx of new cell customers...which will ONLY be able to purchase newer cell phones that ALL come with the mandatory presidential alert system and gps tracking.

And he was right (we hope). ;-)

My 'bride' tells every male friend we have "Happy Father's Day", and it drives me nuts! One Father -in-law was already one too many....

I said "Happy Father's Day!" to my husband today and he said, "I'm not YOUR Father."

Like Rodney Dangerfield once said (or he could have): "Us father-in-laws get no respect." ;-)

I just reminded myself of my favorite line from him: "My dog has a favorite bone. It is in my right arm."

Back to post. If AT&T did that to my phone, I would change service. And if all services did this, I would stick with my land line.

ok-we DO NOT ditch technology. funny family story. Once I was in a fight with my father-in-law. He recently passed away and we miss him terribly. BUT my brother had come to visit us one June and we had a big week planned. It spanned Father's day. My father-in-law wanted us to drive 4 hours to KC to have a father's day dinner. we were in st. Louis at the time. We were staying home. Father's Day call: famous line-we say it all the time!
    "It's Father's Day, Not Brother's Day!"
I still shake my head over that one

"ALERT. ALERT. STANDBY. Your brother has a message for you.

    You know...your Big Brother."

    Time to ditch the technology....
