Republicans Shift to Last-Ditch Plan to Stop Trump at Convention
Reading this, it is no wonder that our country is a disaster. Special interests, "my way or no way" politics, a 2 party state where both parties are identical and wrapped up in their own greatness. All this is what Trump bashes. Is he right? I don't know, he seems to be a goofball, with a childish emotional state. However, he is NOT what is currently in power, which is what has them running scared. But how can anyone expect anyone to listen to the last 2 losers they fielded just because they were the party anointed ones, and who had nothing to offer against the Obamanation? It speaks to the arrogance of power that Romney, who failed, now thinks he is blessed enough to "save the Party". Nope, if Trump doesn't beat the HillaryBeast, assuming she is not indicted, it will be their "let me cut my nose off to spite my face" attitude, and take us all down with them into a Democrap hell that will cement Obamacare and add a huge tax gouge to pay for all the giveaways she will do, as well as whatever she skims of the top for her and Billy boy. What morons....

a. They have had a lock on media since who knows when (I would say before the civil war).
b. That lock has framed every discussion and effectively "cuts out" the principled person, in favor of the party candidate.
c. Big business has been manipulating things for a while between money, messages and possibly covert actions.
d. The money used to "support candidates" and the rise of unregulated money, means the "principled" candidate is left high and dry. Business and people do not contribute to a "principled" campaign (unless Bernie the Commie counts).
Your position is correct, I agree with it wholeheartedly, but I just do not think that our society has been in a position to allow it for a long time, something I think AR was trying to show the sheeple. She did not have much success.
I am of the opposite opinion. The average person can publish his ideas nearly for free. We haven't completely realized MLK's dream, but everyone agrees it's a good goal. LGBT rights are respected. We don't hear serious debate about whether women have the same rights as men. Marginal tax rates >60% are long gone, and probably won't come back. Violent crime is falling steadily for decades. Most of the middle class and poor have an affluent life compared to most time and places.
We may be on the cusp of a world where the cost of making things is trivial and all the value and human effort is in arranging them cleverly. The geographic barriers on earth don't matter anymore, and we may be witnessing the decline of the nation state. We may see people travel to space, and that earth's gavity well will replace geographic boundaries, allowing peolple to try new ways of doing things.
It don't get how people can look and how rapidly the world is changing and see anything like the Dark Ages.
Progressives...both sides,
Intrenched establishment...both sides.
A few, really wacko's...mostly on the left.
And, way to few, conscious human beings, beings that know and understand the constitution and know what the problems are.
For someone, going along, with no education of what America stands for, are allergic to politics, hasn't paid attention and can not seem to believe that these creatures pervade our government and they do not care about them.
They just want to rule...cause they can't do anything else. They have no clue whom to support, who is the real thing and will likely fall prey to the lamestream rhetoric.
Trumpet...has no mind outside business ideas, sometimes gets lucky cause he doesn't care how he does business so long as he wins.
Having no mind, he needs that gigantic ego...which presents the problem...it's his way or the high way cause he's better than you and he doesn't care how he does it.
He really reminds me of Hitler...hiltery too...same brain set.
I've said it before: Marx predicted that if enough nonsense and chaos was injected into a capitalistic society...the people would cry out for a strong man.
donald is their strong man...their hitler, thier stalin, their savior.
Now I have to put my finger down my throat and evacuate the thought of it.
Not only is collapse unlikely in times of such prosperity and personal liberty, it's undesirable. At least as human history goes, if you tear up what we have, our liberty can only decrease.
I could not believe that no one had countered Romney.
The more the internal fighting the bigger the ocean gets - the smaller the boat becomes.
eminent domain? And why has he bragged about
his lack of principle, and chummied up to Putin,
and said he can change to satisfy anyone?
mentioned before, due to technical problems, I
usually don't watch videos on the computer. But I
have heard some stuff like this on the radio. I think that Trump is a disaster. I think I would
vote for him over Clinton or Sanders, but I real-
ly hope we won't be reduced to that. I want Cruz. He is not ideal, but I think he is the best
of the options available. And I just wish Rubbio
would drop out, and maybe team up with Cruz,
and that the two of them would run as running
mates. Then we could defeat Trump and have a
really good chance of defeating the Democrats,
and getting rid of Obamacare,& get something
resembling a free-enterprise country again.
Perhaps a total collapse is the best thing that can happen and is overdue. For the Phoenix to rise, you have to start with the ashes...
at every turn, and it's like suicide, because the pair
could take a hard turn, go independent as president
and vp candidates of the "new party" and win. . who
died and made the RNC all-powerful? -- j
