Holder says feds will recognize Michigan gay marriages despite state decision

HOlder is trampling States Rights, Again! Michigan should take that to court. If this stands, next will be Holder saying any restrictions on anything he doesn't like will not be recognized by the FReds. This will essentially nullify the legality of anything the states do.
This has got to stop.

    Where is it enumerated in the Federal Constitution anything regarding marriage?

    This whole thing has been approached incorrectly from the beginning. Marriage isn't a federal prerogative, thus it does not belong in any federal code or statute or regulation. Eliminate it from the tax code and any other federal regulation.

      Exactly. It is a prerogative of the state and people. The federal government should honor any and all state laws, however much one may differ from another.

        That was the intent of federalism. Trouble is, the progressives insist on taking all of us down to the bottom so that all are equally miserable.
