There's more than a hint of Rand's values running through Wayne's work. I would encourage a viewing of Andrew V. McLaglan's McCLINTOCK for proof of that. McLaglan also directed the Jimmy Stewart drama SHENANDOAH, which a few critics have called "the greatest Ayn Rand movie she never wrote" or words to similar effect.
