"We were up against so many powerful groups with so much money. We fought against all odds, tons of money, a slew of paid lobbyists. All we had was the truth, the facts, and a passion to protect the future of our children." Ultimately all you need are the truth and the facts, because reality cannot be fooled.

It's amazing how some people who have achieved great success suddenly believe that they have some sort of moral authority to decide for other people.

Add this to the list of Gates morality deficit. Did you know that Gates' father was the president of Planned Parenthood? Like father, like son; Bill Gates is into Eugenics in a major way. I don't trust him or his Foundation to do what's right for my family. Look at http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/blog/?p=1... for more info. Vaccines are the choice for population control with Gates.

Well that IS the entire problem... the parents and local boards are left out of the decision making..it's all big gov and UN (and effing Bill Gates) backing this mass collectivist, funnel of herded young brains, one size fits all agenda. That is wrong no matter HOW you slice it. It scares me how willfully uninformed parents choose to be. Blind trust in those who mold their children's minds ALL DAY LONG. What the hell people!?

Please do. If the local school board wants to establish standards, then do so, just do it locally with involvement of parents.

And don't let them shut you up. Demand logical answers and demand to be heard. Question boldly! :)

My grandson is already getting his brain scrambled in kindergarten from what I've seen on the homework he's starting to bring home. I need to check further. We just received an 8 page newspaper from the school district touting Common Core but the Michigan State Legislature voted not to fund Common Core implementation. Time to get involved and attend school board meetings again.

This is what is required to defeat this mess. I think I may actually get actively involved in this at our local level. I'm as qualified as anybody. I like to say, "I know a great deal about very little."
