"If have a successful business, you didn't build that" - Barrack Obama (2012)
"He [Hank Reardon] didn't invent iron smelting" - James Taggart (1957)
Ayn was a genius!

Every once in a while Barry and Moochelle's real feelings slip out from beneath the teleprompter.

Ayn Rand knew the socialist mind. Barrack Obama reflects socialist thinking.

Sometimes genius is stating the obvious that others don't want to see.

I guess that is why there is a race (political) this year...if you stretch things far enough you cannot see the truth! Let's get pithy: Obama built the downfall of the USA!

And even if he did invent a more efficient way to use fire, he didn't invent Iron Ore.

I disagree. While the second quote is more specific, it's basically saying that Rearden isn't responsible for his success because he didn't technically start from scratch--"Somebody else made that happen." It's basically the application of the philosophy to which President Obama refers. If they aren't the same, they are at least closely related.

I don't think these quotes are the same. One is an abstract philosophical generalization. The other is a conflation of reality that creates a straw man.

Really enjoyed that part. Henry Rearden finally says one simple word...."No."
