Are any electronic transactions/communications safe from the federal government's snooping?

gw, a bitcoiner. here's my respectful nod. it's new and we'll watch and wait for tech to do its thing and make it safer. the problem with a cash society is that wealth does not build under that philosophy- but if we're doom headed, it's a plan

BitCoin is easily traced through IP addresses, as the NSA is archiving all of your online activity, too. Routing through a proxy will not keep them from tracing back to your IP and may very well throw up a red flag to look through all of your activity with a fine-toothed comb.

The other problem with BitCoin is that it is very easy to manipulate the price as we have seen recently. And before you ask... Yes. I do own bitcoins and check the trends in the marketplace regularly.
