Government can control the purchase of furniture?

They can by virtue of controlling lending rates, yes. And the current rules are putting many lenders out of business.

    Absolutely correct, because the laws which restrict lending are targeting these vendors by focusing on the short-term nature - and corresponding rates - of these institutions. Government shouldn't be meddling with setting minimum or maximum interest rates in the first place.
