Then what was the purpose of saying "Google is your friend"? You do realize I was speaking to you and not Google, correct?

That wasn't what I was doing, that is what you assumed I was doing. It's kind of tough to state that I was being condescending without hearing the tone of my voice or without more details in the reply in question.

Stating "Google is your friend" comes across snide and condescending, as if you are insinuating that my question is extremely basic rather than just stating "This is a basic question."

All I did was ask a couple questions in an attempt to start conversation.

There was no attitude. I was simply answering your question by giving you the definitions. Google really is your friend.

This is considered Digital Technology. Such as Apps, Websites, Gadgets(such as nest, smart things, etc.). Also, Technology and invention are two different meanings, which is why they're two different words.
Technology: The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, esp. in industry: "computer technology"; "recycling technologies".
Invention: The action of inventing something, typically a process or device.

    Google Is your friend.

Shark tank isn't just about technology. It's an all around investment. "X-Factor Technology" is kind of a twist of shark tank in a sense. It's technology inventions only and will have a Americas Got Talent feel to it with voting, etc. According to Will.I.Am
