Interesting: How a Balanced Budget Amendment actually furthers subversion of the Constitution

Wow. I had never thought of things in this manner, but the author makes some good points.

Maybe then what we need is a bill that forces any spending to specifically cite its Constitutional basis - similar to what an accountant has to do when spending money: assign it to accounts. Create an account for each of the enumerated powers listed and if it doesn't fit in one of those, that project/bureaucracy/executive order doesn't get money.

    Hey it makes since to me but the champion of SCOTUS decisions is in McColloch v Maryland was so imaginative that "implied powers" are alive , well and part of everyday day for any demogogue.
