Security experts have been arguing for protection of the right of encryption to protect one's own privacy for decades.

It's a basic right of property ownership and self defense. The Second Amendment should be extended to include the right to bear encryption (which, for the benefit of statists, does not mean extending arms and legs of bears to scrambling bear parts).
