Wouldn't this mean they would be clamoring for a little "warming" to help them out?

What a bunch of freaking pansies. My kids had to walk to school every morning in Montana - even when the high temp was -9.

Houston needs it for every day, not just for hurricanes. Lived there for over 5 years and only once did I experience a day that was actually good weather. I walked outside and was stunned that day.

Yup, much better, especially if most of the people in the house on the hill were trapped there. LOL

Heard prediction today was for 2 feet of snow for the Dark Center. My response was, "Two miles would be better."

    Love this idea!

Seriously, though, Houston has actually studied the feasibility of a dome over the greater Houston area to protect somewhat against hurricanes. It all hinges on the tiles used on the dome, but they think they finally have some which are cost-effective and aren't going to damage anyone seriously if they fall out.

I'm thinking we would fare well if it snowed 8 to 10 inches every day of the year in that city. No melting either. Can we erect a dome? I think it would be money well spent. :)
