But (to use a common British vernacular) it would stir up a right shit storm in politics because, NOT being permitted to defend ourselves is certainly NOT in the public interest, & 'the conditions provided for by law'... are not being provided for. I think broaching the subject of a necessary amendment of our right to self defence, 'without mention of guns' would very likely get a desirable response from parliament. If they were to ignore us, they would be digging themselves an even bigger hole than the one they're already in. Of course, the methods I'm talking about amount to political 'pull' - without the 'bull'. Did you see what I did there? ;] Their rules, our terms.
