Canadians "loonie" for their currency - fighting high prices of imports
Part of this is mentioned in the article: the demand for imported fruits and vegetables that don't grow in Canada. There is another item, however, that the article touches upon and then skims over: imported inflation. The US $'s inflated value has effectively been exported to many other countries - especially those with whom we have extensive trade ties like Canada. If I were a Canadian, I'd be mad not only at my own country's leaders, but US leaders as well.
