I sat and had a beer with my pediatrician yesterday and asked him about other fathers reporting that the pediatricians are asking the kids about guns in the house, etc. He had a good laugh and said he had not heard of that. However, he recently has agreed to take a couple kids on medicare and noticed that taking on such patients (he owns his own small practice) now includes a medicare questionaire of questions that a doctor is supposed to ask the patient. He tossed it as soon as he saw the first few questions for babies from age 0 to 6 months. Why did he toss it? Because it had questions like, "How often do you have sex?" That's right...asking a 6-month old baby how often they have sex. After my gun question he said he's going to go dig that thing back up and look at the rest of the questions.
