Why have we been arming people too unsophisticated to develop there own arms? Let these primitives stone each other back into the stone age..... fewer idiots to deal with later... The real problem with Neo-Cons...

Sell them what they can pay for, but not anything that could reach us, then stay out of it.
Perhaps the most famous quote from Jefferson is that oft-repeated one from his first inaugural address, delivered on March 4, 1801: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none."

Good article. Syria has turned into a regional war. The old Sun Tsu thing of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Saudi's hate Al Qaeda but they're sending them arms because AQ is fighting against Iran's support of Syria etc. Now the West is going to come out in the open with sending arms and riding is in on their white horse, or should that be pale horse, to save the people. This is going to come back to bite us big time, and it won't take as long as it did before. The pieces have been mostly moved into place.

I don't think it will stop the madness in the region. The venerable senator is misguided at best in his effort to try to support the opposition.

It depends (Six Sigma answer). In the short term, it appears McLame is arming the jihadists over there, but in the long-term, the opposition is us.

Isn't this what McCain was just doing in Syria? Arming the opposition? I'm confused as to who he's arming and who is the opposition exactly...
