"Liberty" is on the reverse instead of the obverse. At one time it was law (I believe) that the word "Liberty" be inscribed on the front (obverse) of all US coinage. When I saw this, I started looking at other modern coins, and found that the Presidential series has the word totally missing - a depiction of Lady Liberty is on the reverse which "they" determined conveyed the sentiment sufficiently.

Call me a conspiritorialist, but this seems an intentional act to begin to eliminate the thinking that liberty is a fundamental American trait.
