    You should see how fast I will press the button set for the classic rock station my car radio when Obummer starts to speak on my Fox talking head station.

    Strangely enough, Obama's the only President since Eisenhower whose voice didn't affect me like nails on a chalkboard. And I still say he's the best President to take office this century [/faint praise].

    There are two types of State of The Union Addresses. The campaign type and the legacy building type. Neither have much to say about the state of things in the union.

    Even it's existence is problematical. It is in response to a Constitutional requirement is it not?

    Wait, are you asking if the State of the Union is a Constitutional requirement? It is. Although it's not required to be delivered in speech form, it is a constitutional requirement to deliver such.

    Art 2, Sect 3:
    "He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient"

    I don't have to watch a dog for an hour to know he's going to piss on a fire hydrant.

    Likewise, I don't have to watch Barack Obama for an hour to know he's going to piss on the Constitution.

    However the President has two solutions since he's in Type II mode and Rushmore has no more room for carving.

    a. Build a new mountain at a new location with room for 'their can be only one.'

    b. Ask the Taliban to create more space on Rushmore.

    I shouldn't be giving O'Barfme ideas. He has none of his own. So maybe a simple sentence on some bronze plaque in....Chicago?
