Ideally, the actor playing John Galt in Atlas Shrugged Part 3 will appear to have jumped right off of the pages of Atlas Shrugged. However, in our quest to find the perfect John Galt, some tough choices may have to be made. That's where you come in.

If you had to choose, which would you consider the number one priority in casting John Galt?

A. As long as the actor looks and acts like John Galt, I don't care what his personal beliefs are.
B. The actor needs to possess a deep understanding of, and passion for, Ayn Rand's ideas first and foremost.

Regards those existign actors who may lean right I noticed Vince Vaughn wearing a 'Dont tread on me' T Shirt in The Dilemma ... and he said something uncomplimentary about the ACA (Obamacare) .... probably don't want a comedic actor though ...

Is this like a "you wouldn't hit a boy with glasses...?" kind of approach? Nope....You're ALL kh's... your uncomfortably tight Depends will not phase her.

Talk about doing a double take!

I admit that I got a ton of satisfaction typing that out.

I anticipated you though, and pulled the tabs on my Depends uncomfortably tight.

    Bring it on....

I must have seen 39.99 on signup.

O.K. I'll just tell Toby (my dog) that he needs to go on a diet (he won't figure it out).

What does the 3.99 cover? Pole dancing, or lap dancing, in the Lounge? It needs to...since it seems that I am only really talking to a bunch of chicks in here.

I'll surprise you and stroll past the bouncer soon.

I'm not sure. I think 4 bucks a month. but, there is no insider info. There are opportunities of some information regarding the movies and the producers. most of us are looking for good conversation, I am rarely putting my conversation in the Lounge. But others may.

If that is to me: 'No problem'.

If it wasn't for me...than my batting average has reached -.050.

No one will tell me the payola required to get past the private Gulch club bouncer?

Christopher Meloni from Law and Order, SVU. Tad over 50 but can show strength and stamina to lead the rebellion.

    Yes...yes,,,and yes!

I actually lobby against AARP with my friends, because they were a major party to ObamaCare. I am not a member...but used them to get my fixed income point across.

I actually clicked on the UPGRADE button the other night, but got distracted before I could get to the 'fine print'. I don't remember what the bill for being a "producer" was when I first signed on, maybe you can tell me?

I think it's hilarious when people think I'm a guy... You know kh's is a girl too, right? And dk.....
Okay...not dk, but I think you already figured that one out...if not...revisit the football party cancellation conversation.
And...you will be getting no discounts related to AARP in the Gulch. AARP is in B.O.'s pocket.

Please tell me how I was supposed to know?

I don't hang out in the Gulch exclusively private bar and grill!

I know...don't even remind me that I am NOT a producer.

I am just waiting for my AARP discount offer....

    Jonathan Hoenig, please!

More generally, though, I'd say that I don't totally buy the "it only matter how well the actor can act" argument. Certainly not for a movie with such a philosophical message that will be seen by so many who share or are sympathetic to that message. Honestly, if you could get some idiot or libtard like Brad Pitt to play Galt brilliantly I would still hate it because I know how completely opposite the actor is to that of Galt.

The actor needs to be a good actor, but doesn't need to be a devout objectivist follower. Sure it would be ideal to have both, but it is the philosophy itself that appeals to anyone inclined to think rationally and not feel guilty for their success or abilities. The genuine appeal of the philosophy is primarily through reason, not emotion.

I have known people who are genuinely impressed and taken by individuals who can "sound" authentic. In my experience those people tend to be liberals. They don't really care about whether the person they regard makes any sense or is genuinely trustworthy, as long as they sound really believable and caring. Do we really want to tailor this movie to those people? In my opinion, they are a lost cause.

    Just my $2

    Boy: "she"?

Is there a batting average below .00?
