Home remedies

My father is 74 years young and this morning he was reminiscing about his childhood. He said he was always careful when playing at his grandmothers house. The reason---if he fell and got a cut she would rub the white part of chicken poop on the cut. She saved it in a jar for just such an occasion. I'm guessing it helped it heal faster. His family had a farm and had to make due the best they could. I doubt this treatment would be sanctioned by ObamaCare and she would probably be charged with child abuse by lefty do-gooders. Anyone else have any strange home remedies?

I recently followed a law through three committees here in California - a law that will eventually lead to kids being taken from their families for no reason. It was very educational to hear the elected officials speak during these hearings. The law sailed through, but the quantity of citizens in opposition was to large to be housed at the Capital. One democrat (during a hearing) said that we have "an obligation" to break up families. Scariest thing I've ever heard an American politician say in my lifetime. There were a couple Republicans on committees and they appeared to be naïve, duped, "Well, golly gee!" Watching this bill go through the system forever changed my view of how I fit into America. In short - I barely do.

It's getting harder and harder to tell the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Why anyone would support such an idea is hard for me to believe.

Rich. There are a lot of Republicans who favor the government taking kids away from their parents for government-forced medical treatment. However, the ranks of such freaks are much more common in the Dems.

You and I have similar backgrounds. I also have worked in the water industry as well as a couple stints in the healthcare industry. Conventional, modern disease control methods are, for the most part, a complete fraud. I can't describe the raw impact it had on me as I learned this. It was mind-blowing. In my case, I even learned some of it taking part in a medical study as a subject, getting to know the PhDs running the study. The general public has no idea how hard they are being screwed...

Certainly. Not getting sick is...strange. It has saved us a lot of time and money, for sure. At my age I'm seeing friends struggling with cancer and that's very sobering. Cancer prevention requires a very strong immune system. If you are at all interested in this kind of stuff I highly recommend a new series called, "The Truth About Cancer". It is very good.

Over the years we have collected a few different methods of illness prevention. One of them is even from the era of the black plague. This is what happens, though, when you read books instead of watch tv...haha!

Many home remedies actually work for reasons not obvious to the user, but if they fix the problem, we should go ahead and use them.

As Obamacare makes the cost of going to the doctor higher and higher, home remedies will become more important

Maybe it was the salty water that did it. I have the same issues with my fingertips in the winter too.

I´ve read Ayn Rand, and it seems I swim just fine. As for speaking for the rest, I try not to; that´s being a demagogue. Touché

I don't need to make up excuses not to have money taken from me involuntarily. It's wrong.

I am complaining about federal bail outs for corporations -- they are wrong. Almost everyone on this site is opposed to federal bail outs of corporations.

I suggest you read some Ayn Rand before you try to swim in this pool.

I understand perfectly, you don´t want to pay taxes and are making up excuses not to pay. If your prerogative were that your a peaceful persona, I´d understand. But your complaint is welfare and public health. These percentages on taxes are low, very low indeed. I don´t hear anyone here complainning about Federal Bail Outs for Corporate Atrocities now, mmm.

Perhaps you don't understand. If you refuse to pay your taxes the government will take the money by force. Out of your bank account if it is there, if not they will send marshals for yours stuff. They have guns and they will, in fact, put a gun to your head if you object. The only reason this doesn't happen very often is that people give them the money before that happens -- because, in the end, there will be a armed officer.

What? SUperior Morality? Looks like it´s bullseye here then. I never "claimed" anything, and as far as I know no one puts a gun to your head, do they?

This is typical, narrow mindedness. You want to reap societies perks, and decline responsability for them I see. Again, I can´t help but laugh at this. The highest percent on tax goes to national defense policies, do not forget. And again, you can´t handle the truth of what living in society means (pros and cons, as in everything). Here´s a shovel, pave your own road and else then.

We have a few little things we do for our immune systems here at home. I almost hate to say this...We haven't had a cold or flu for many years. We just don't get sick. I'll confess here that It's to the point of kind of freaking me out, actually. Everybody on our street, or most kids in the class with my kids may have flues/colds and we all just keep on trucking. We'll be the first to admit we're fortunate. But, it's starting to look like there's more to it than luck...

No, we hate taxes whether we benefit from them or not. It's called theft when people with a gun come and take your stuff.

You are entirely free to support all the worthwhile causes you want -- with your assets. Don't claim superior morality because you are willing to have other people robbed to pay for your causes.

Great Way to close a statement, throwing a degree like that automatically makes all you say valuable. As for the other statements well; I see a true polarization, McCarthy like scenario. It´s useless to argue here really. I could give you my "pedigree" but, really? Like if I told you my "degree" that would force retraction on your behalf?

I truly pity this "simplistic" way of viewing things. The "left" is wrong, blame it on something and there. "I hate taxes that aren´t one hundred percent beneficial on my behalf", etc. If you don´t like supporting public welfare, or the retired; well then maybe you should be the brave John Galt to move out, dissappear and form a secret society of enlightenned beings then. Too bad I´d have to remind you that´s just fiction. "They´re comming for your gold Johnny". Hahaha
