"The Tea Party fearlessly proclaimed at the start the 2014 election season that it remains an enduring political force, but a couple of losses in early GOP primaries raise more speculation about the future of the movement."

Ignore the Tea Party at your peril.

Here in Texas Sen. John Cornyn won easily. His most serious opponent, Steve Stockman, was written off in the mainstream media. (See here from Politico - http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2...). I voted for Stockman because he called Cornyn out for his support of Obamacare and the Obama federal budget.

Cornyn also co-sponsored PIPA/SOPA, which would have seriously damaged the Internet. Now he prefers to forget - and have us forget - that he co-sponsored them. See his claims of the moment here: http://www.johncornyn.com/issues/interne...

John Cornyn is a CINO: Conservative in Name Only. But he will be back for another six years.

I work in a state police command center and we have news channels running all the time on many monitors. I saw several of Cornyn's ads. He distanced himself from the President by condemning the President's progressive policies. He also claimed to be a lover of the Second Amendment. But I am from Michigan. And there, pro-union Democrats in Detroit are NRA members because hunting is important to blue collar culture. Also, for instance, Michigan Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak was pro-life because he represented the north country. But he supported all of the other Democratic Party platforms. One issue does not make an ideology. Sen. John Cornyn could own an AK-47 and he would still be a big-government Republican.
