Readers here know I think the left/right battle is a total sham. I reject the idea that rightwingers' greed makes them overlook the parts of Rand they don't like. Rightwingers and leftwingers are buying into a bogus ideology. Politicians have lines that work; writers and media personalities know how to tap into the ideological battle; these people just buy into it.

My reading of Fountainhead and AS is it's calling on people to reject these group ideologies in favor of thinking for themselves.
